I would like to connect two different form of you here, please bear with me.🙂

#1. Your childhood, when as a baby you were exactly knowing what you wanted. You knew when you were hungry, you simply cried loudly – with no holding back – until you got what you wanted. You had no trouble expressing your needs and wants.

And guess what people around you often said to you:

  • Don’t touch that!
  • Stay away from there.
  • Stop crying.

And you did not pay any attention to that …

But then, you got older …

#2. As you got older, you started looking around you and you observed different behaviors around you.

After many years, eventually you lost touch with the needs of your body, the desires of your heart and somehow got stuck trying to figure out what other people wanted you to do.

You learned how to act and how to get other people’s approval. As a result, now, you do lot of things that you don’t want to do but you do it to please a lot of other people.

For example:

  • You continue your engineering studies because that what is your dad wanted you to do
  • You are doing a “real job” instead of pursuing your dream career in the arts

You often heard that:

  • You can’t have everything you want simply because you want it.
  • Stop being so selfish!
  • Money doesn’t grow on trees.

In the name of being sensible, you end up becoming numb to your own desires. It’s no wonder that when you ask many teenagers like what they wanted to do or be, they honestly answer “I don’t know.”

They are just lost.

So how do you reclaim yourself and your true desires? How do you get back to what you really want with no fear, shame and inhibitions?

Stop settling for less than you want..!!
